Get ready for Get the Nation Learning Week

2-6 November 2026

Get the Nation Learning is a long-term, year-round campaign, focused on making and winning the case lifelong learning. Each year, during the first week of November, the movement comes together to raise its voice, work together, and take action to get the nation learning. The Get the Nation Learning Awards also take place this week. Nominations for the 2026 Awards are now open.

Get the Nation Learning Week is the perfect time to strengthen and showcase your commitment to lifelong learning. What you do is up to you, but here’s a few ideas to help your planning:

  • Outreach – Engage learners directly through in person and online events, or open-house and drop-in sessions
  • Mobilise your members or audiences – If you’re connected to a network of organisations who have a role in getting the nation learning, it’s time to move them to act – be they employers, providers, or community organisations
  • Public affairs – Invite a local MP or councillor to visit you, see the difference you’re making, and maybe even have a go at learning themselves!
  • Thought leadership – Write a blog or article on the importance of lifelong learning, the role your organisation is playing, and why you joined the campaign
  • Make a commitment to do more – If you want to increase your impact on lifelong learning in the year ahead, set out your goals and bring others on board to help you achieve them
  • Promote and share what you and others are up to – on social media, in your newsletters, and on your webpages, and keep an eye on the latest campaign news
