Get the Nation Learning Charter

What is the Get the Nation Learning Charter?

Learning and Work Institute launched the charter to provide a common platform to organisations wanting to make and win the case for the importance of lifelong learning. It’s the entry-point to the wider Get the Nation Learning campaign, and a touchpoint for the movement. It’s also designed to support behavioural change and provide organisations with the opportunity to do more in support of lifelong learning and promote what they’re up to.

Why should my organisation sign the charter?

By signing the charter, your organisation can join a community of stakeholders committed to building a future where everyone can learn throughout life. Signatories have the chance to learn from one another, share and understand good practice, and promote what’s working in getting the nation learning. As well as putting you at the forefront of the case for change, the charter can also help you lead the change.

Fantastic! How do I get involved?

To sign the charter, simply click below. All signatories will need to: recognise the many benefits of lifelong learning to people, society and the economy; commit to building a future where everyone can learn throughout life; and agree to lead by example in getting the nation learning. While there are no strict requirements on reporting, the campaign is here to help you understand how to do more and promote your good practice.
